An important step to solve the issue you describe is to perform a general update of the scale's software. The best way to do that is to replace the contents of the SD card which is located inside of the PUE7.1/HY10/CY10/PUE10 terminals and 4Y/5Y scale.

The procedure is simple and can be done by yourself.

First make sure you have the following equipment available:
  • Micro SD card reader

Then download and install the following software:

Now download and unpack the latest card image:

Go through the following steps to complete the procedure:
NOTE: going through this procedure will wipe any personal data from the card, including your past weighings and reports
  1. power the scale off and remove power cord
  2. unscrew and  remove the back plate of the terminal. NOTE: this will void the warranty
  3. locate the SD card, unlock its holder and take it out of the scale
  4. put it into your computer via a micro sd card reader
  5. run SD Card Formatter and format the card. NOTE: make sure you format the correct card, to not lose data on an other card or flash pendrive
  6. after the card is formatted, run Win32 Disk Imager, select the card you just formatted, select the unpacked image file and write it to the card
  7. after the process is finished the card is ready, remove it from the computer
  8. put the card back into its place inside the terminal, make sure it is secured in place
  9. screw the back plate back to the terminal
  10. connect the power cord and run the terminal. Initial run should take longer
  11. configure the terminal as normal
  12. the scale is ready to go

At this point the scale will be ready to have any further updates installed via standard method.
